Defining the future of the Retail Landscape

What will the future of the retail industry look like?

It’s the multi-million dollar question that everyone would like answering and one which requires shared thought, debate and expertise to tackle.

It is the question that defines this event, the World Retail Congress. Since 2007, this event has seen retail leaders from around the globe come together each year to offer their view on this thought provoking question.

In its time the event has heard the likes of George Plassat, CEO of Carrefour present his views on the challenges facing retailers, Sir Martin Sorrell, Group CEO of WPP Group lead a debate on “the new realities of the post-recession world for retailers” Angela Ahrendts, Former CEO of Burberry share the view of this leading global brand and Sir Phillip Green, CEO of Arcadia Group provide his perspective on the fast-moving retail world.

Acknowledged as the leading forum for debate about this industry, the World Retail Congress has rapidly expanded into a Global Series with five distinct events taking place on five continents, covering global, Asian, South American, African and Chinese retail.

As a continuation of this global forum for debate we welcome you to this World Retail Blog where we will be sharing further insights from our speakers, discussing the hot topics in the industry in greater depth and providing a taste of what you can expect from this global series of events.

Through a series of interviews, debates, forums and posts we will be encouraging the retail community to showcase experience, present ideas, offer best practice advice and overall come a little closer to understanding the answer to this all important question.

Join the debate and be a part of the retail world’s conversation.
