#CongressChat Theme: Changes in retail practices and company culture
Our next twitter chat, hosted by @WorldRetail will be on the 23 April 2015.
This month’s #CongressChat will be focusing on the question of changes in retail leadership practices and company culture. As with other industries, retail is having to compete alongside the lure of the new generation tech and start-up companies - companies which pervade a culture of flexible working hours and mod-conned offices, artfully blending a casual, informal atmosphere with a fast-paced and progressive attitude. In response, Retail companies have had to re-think how they can mirror the start-up culture – many a time within the constraints of the shop sales floor.
We’ll be looking at key transformations retailers are making to modernise company culture and leadership including:
- Creation of tangible development schemes and staff incentives
- Modernising company values in the face of the generation X workforce
- Transformational Leadership that serves to empower and motivate staff
Join us on Thursday 23 April and share your thoughts with the retail community.
